Gentlemen,
With reference to your letter of the 3rd March,
I am directed by the Board of Trads to state that they will
offer no objection to the goods described in their letter
of the 19th Jubruary numbered as above in respect of which
you claim a lien being shipped from byrscuss to liongkong in a neutral vessel provided that you undertake to fumish His Majesty's Procurator General with a full statement of your
claim in the matter and to pay to him or to his direction any surplus which may remmin out of the proceeds of the goods after that claim has been satisfied.
I have to add that the board consider that in the
interests of this country every effort possible should be made to obtain a British or failing that an Allied shio to carry the goods in question and that the goods should be carried by a neutral vessel under the conditions stated Above only if it is not ressonably possible to adopt any
other course.
